Leoliusports swim centre standard terms and conditions need to be reviewed, agreed to and signed upon enrolment and prior to commencement of lessons when you are given access to registration on our customer portal (SwimBiz), which is a condition of enrolment.

 

ENROLMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS

• When signing up for lessons you will be charged a $50.00 deposit that will hold your swim spot for as long as you wish to do lessons. When you want to stop lessons you need to give our staff 2 full week’s notice of finishing lessons in order to get your $50.00 deposit refunded. If you do not give notice you will forgo the deposit.

• If two (2) consecutive classes are missed and there has been no communication from the family, Leoliu swim center reserves the right to withdraw your swim spot and you will not be entitled to a refund.

• Trial classes are offered but only in a grade/age appropriate class on a day and time that works ongoing. A trial class fee is payable prior to confirmation of booking. There is no obligation to continue with an enrolment after the trial class.

• Enrolments are billed in advance monthly and will be automatically rolled over into the next month if we are not advised that you will not be continuing.

• Our lessons run weekly throughout the year, excluding public school holidays, public holidays and scheduled maintenance periods if required.

• Should a class be cancelled due to contamination, your account will be credited for the cancelled class.

PAYMENT POLICY

• Fees are paid in advance for each month (Due to the last week of the month)

• Fees & Lessons are not transferrable or refundable. If you cancel or miss a lesson you will forfeit that class.

MAKEUP LESSONS POLICY

• We offer one make-up lesson per school term for medical reasons, upon sighting of a doctor certificate, the lesson will be organised at your earlier convenience. The lesson must be made up within the school term.

• Make-up lessons are not transferrable or refundable they must be made up.

• Make-up lessons are subject to availability, therefore we cannot guarantee specific teachers, days, or times

• Once Make-up lesson is booked, it cannot be altered and will be forfeited if not attended or cancelled

CHANGE TO BOOKINGS

Every effort will be made to adhere to the timetable. However, Leoliusports swim centre reserves the right to consolidate classes, alter timetables and change instructors to suit seasonal and usage requirements as necessary. Refunds will not be issued for instructor or pool changes.

CREDITS AND REFUNDS

Credits and Refunds will be issued under the following guidelines:

• Major illness or Hospitalisation.

• Medical Certificate must be sighted.

• Enrolments will not be able to be held for absences longer than four (4) weeks.

• No credits or makeup lessons will be given for missed lessons.

BEHAVIOUR

• For the welfare of everyone attending our swim school (students, parents, carers and staff), we have a strict zero tolerance policy for rude, disrespectful or unsafe behaviour.

• If a child displays this behaviour in a class and it is disruptive to other participants there is a three strike system in place where the child will be sat out for a “time-out” period on the first and second occurrence before being allowed to rejoin the class. On the third occurrence, the parent or carer will be asked to remove the child from the lesson.

• Any adult who displays this type of behaviour will be asked to leave the premises immediately.

• No refunds will be given for a lesson where a child or adult has been removed for not adhering to this policy.

HEALTH & SAFETY

• Please do not allow your child/children to enter the pool area before the teacher instructs them to do so.

• Please follow all health safety rules as advised by the instructor or other staff and as displayed.

• Band-Aids or similar are not allowed to be worn into the pool.

• Swimmers with bleeding or weeping wounds should not attend lessons.

• Do not send children to lessons if they are unwell.

• Customers enter the facility and participate in Leoliusports Swim Centre at their own risk.

• In my absence and/or in the event that my child or children require medical or hospital treatment whilst attending swimming lessons, I authorise Leoliusports Swim Centre staff to organise medical or hospital treatment on my behalf.

PHOTOGRAPHY

• No camera of any description is to be used in the facility at any time without Leoliusports Swim Centre permission.

• No camera of any description is permitted in the change rooms under any circumstances.

• Filming of lessons is not permitted.

​

SWIMWEAR

In the interest of public health and safety the following is required:

• All students must wear a swimming cap

• 0-4 year-old and non-toilet trained children MUST wear waterproof aqua pants during lessons.

• Huggies(or similar disposable) swim pants must have aqua pant over the top.

• Board shorts must have a tight fitted swimming brief underneath. No underwear.

• Rash vests that are designed for sun protection and board shorts are not recommended for swimming lessons as they create drag and slow the swimmer down.

• Saggy, loose fitting garments will not be permitted in lessons.

• If you do not have the appropriate swim wear you will be asked to leave the swimming lesson.

PARENTAL SUPERVISION POLICY

Leoliusports Swim Centre participants 14 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible person aged 16 years or older and Leoliusports Swim Centre reserves the right to refuse entry to any person, including Leoliusports Swim Centre participants.

Parents and guardians must remain at reception waiting area to be contactable by our staff or swim instructor throughout the lesson. Failure to adhere to Leoliusports Swim Centre supervision policies may result in the termination of lessons.
